Shane Nipperess – Director / Finance Broker
Shane is the proud owner of Centrepoint Finance Yeppoon and has over 35 years’ experience in the finance industry.
Prior to starting his own business, Shane worked in a number of lending roles with the Commonwealth Bank in various towns across Queensland, including loans officer, lending manager and business banking relationship officer.
In 2000 he left the bank to pursue a career as a finance broker, and has owned this business since March 2007.

Chris Warren Homes is a growing family run business, owned and operated by Chris and Mel Warren.
Chris comes from a family of builders and from a young age aspired to build his own homes. His father Bob Warren was his mentor and teacher. Bob was a builder with many years of experience and built a successful construction business in the Bundaberg/Bargara region. He passed many of the skills and knowledge required to produce good quality workmanship onto Chris.
Chris started his carpentry and joinery apprenticeship in 1988 in Mackay and received his trade qualifications in November 1992. He then moved to Bundaberg in 1993 and gained valuable experience as a tradesman, working for various builders and companies.
Over the next eight years he gained experience in domestic construction, renovation work as well as some commercial construction before applying for his builders licence. He received his builders licence in July, 2000 and gained more experience in all aspects of the building business working as a supervisor.
In 2003 Chris set up another building company with his two younger brothers called “Warren Family Homes” (WFH). The three boys built many houses in t he Wide Bay area before expanding into Gladstone and the Capricorn Region in 2007.
However Chris wanted to go back to building for himself. In 2010 Chris and Mel decided to move to Rockhampton with their two children to live in and build in the CQ Region as Chris Warren Homes.

While $20,000 is a substantial gift to first homebuyers struggling to get a foothold in the ladder, it’s only available to those who purchase a newly constructed home and has been extended until 30th June 2018.
To be eligible for the grant:
The 2016/17 Queensland Budget, announced a new Foreign Acquirer Duty to be paid by foreign buyers of residential property in Queensland.
That means tax will be payable in addition to normal stamp duty rates and will be assessed at 3% of the purchase price.
So if purchasing a $500,000 home the Foreign Acquirer Duty will be an additional $15,000 in duty meaning the total stamp duty payable comes to $30,925.
